ANN ARBOR, Michigan — July 13, 2010 — Derek Mehraban, CEO of Ingenex Digital Marketing, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, will be sharing his success story at the New Enterprise Forum’s 7th Annual ‘Unusual Entrepreneurs Share Wild Success Stories’ Event on July 15th.

Registration and networking begin at 5:00 p.m. with the program starting at 5:45 p.m. Free to New Enterprise Forum members and journalists, the cost is $20 for non- members and $5 for students.

“Being asked to talk at the New Enterprise Forum Event is an honor. I have been fortunate enough to have been successful throughout my career and am thrilled to be counted among this years group of successful entrepreneurs.,” said Derek Mehraban, chief executive officer at Ingenex Digital Marketing.

Mehraban’s company, Ingenex Digital Marketing, is an Internet Marketing Agency that specializes in delivering digital solutions and measurable results through Google Adwords and Analytics, web design, search engine optimization (SEO), digital public relations and social media marketing. He also teaches a New Media Drivers License Course at Michigan State University that focuses on using blogs, social media, and digital public relations to grow a personal or company brand.

In addition to Mehraban’s presentation about the world of digital marketing and his niche in the industry, the 7th Annual ‘Unusual Entrepreneurs Share Wild Success Stories’ Event will also be hosting Bruce Baker, Founder and CEO of Radius Garden; Ryan L. Everson, Founder and CEO of Computer Doctors Inc.; and James Marks, Founder and Creative Director of VGKids.

Baker is a lifelong gardener with a special interest in bonsais and tools. A business colleague's injury while working "as directed" with gardening tools convinced him that there was a marketplace niche for better “ergonomically designed" gardening implements. He developed and patented the design of such tools and founded Radius Garden in 2004.

Everson founded Computer Doctors Inc. in Davison, Michigan,  just days after graduating from Davison High School in June 2008. Soon after, he moved from the original location to a larger, higher-profile location that spurred strong sales growth. For added marketing power, he also purchased a used ambulance and fitted it with the business logo to make house calls for pick-up and repair.

Marks began as vegan grocery store in Pontiac, Michigan, that sold snacks and groceries in the front of the store, distributed records and zines in the back, and hosted punk shows in the basement. The folks who volunteered and hung out at VG became known as VG Kids. In 1999, the grocery closed and VGKids was reborn in Ypsilanti, Michigan, as a screen printing business.

Following the presentations will be an open forum where event participants will be given the opportunity to make a 30-second pitch for their company, product, service, or need.
